Both Becky and I are members of Girl Guiding UK - and along with other exciting opportunities found Sangam's Community (volunteer) Programme through our passion for Guiding and making a difference to the lives of those around us - we also share lots of other loves, but more on those later.
We shared three months of our lives together, sharing a dorm room with other volunteers, planning activities for the children at our schools, and then 3 weeks of hard core travelling around India, but we soon discovered that when Max & Becky were together amazing and hilarious things could happen to us and very often did.
We are now back in the UK. Beck is from Derbyshire and I am from Staffordshire so geographically we live very close, and talk every day. Beck has just started university this year and has begun an amazing three year journey to become a social worker, which I know is her dream and she will easily achieve.
I had settled back into my life at home, job which I love, planning on my next life step...
Then Sangam sent an email....
Would I like to consider an intern job with them starting as soon as possible. So being a tad spontaneous, not having anything to tie me down to the UK I said YES!! and now I am awaiting my visa for my return trip to India and Sangam, but this time no Becky-Didi.
